Horses For Handicapped Foundation of Pinellas County
H4H is Pinellas County’s oldest FREE program for adults and children with disabilities to enjoy the benefits our equine partners have to offer. It’s a private, non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting and teaching recreational horseback riding and care to special needs citizens of our community.
Horse back riding is widely recognized as one of the most beneficial forms of recreational therapy disabled persons can receive. It develops self awareness, builds self confidence, improves concentration and discipline. Horseback riding also improves posture, balance, and coordination as well as increasing joint mobility and core stabilization.
Join the Program
Fall Programing lasts from September to May. Sessions are Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm or on weekdays by appointment. Summer Programing is available by special arrangement.
